Cardi B turned heads at the 2019 Grammys Red Carpet Sunday night in a stunning blush bodysuit and velvet gown combo. The showstopping look is taken from legendary french designer Thierry Mugler’s 1995 – 1996 fall/winter couture collection, where it made its runway debut at the label’s 20th anniversary show, as confirmed by a post by the designer on Instagram.
The gown resembles an open clam, with Cardi B as the pearl nestled inside, also making a reference to Botticelli’s iconic Birth of Venus painting.
The look was styled by Kollin Carter, who’s behind most of Cardi B’s iconic music video and red carpet looks.
